An Editorial Wedding on the Amalfi Coast

There is something timeless about a wedding on the Amalfi Coast. The Mediterranean light, the gardens, the sea stretching beyond the cliffs and the elegance of Italian villas create an atmosphere that feels unmistakably Italian.

In Ravello, Villa Eva provided the setting for this celebration, surrounded by greenery and overlooking the dramatic landscape of the coast. Here, architecture, nature and light naturally became part of the visual story.

For this wedding, I wanted to combine an editorial approach with documentary storytelling, allowing genuine moments from the day to exist alongside more considered and refined portraits.

The Wedding at Villa Eva

The day unfolded between the villa's interiors, its gardens and panoramic terraces.

Rather than following a rigid photographic script, I allowed the story to develop naturally, moving between spontaneous moments, details, interactions with guests and photographs of the couple.

Villa Eva was never simply a backdrop. Its different spaces created an opportunity to move between intimate photographs and wider compositions in which the landscape of Ravello and the Amalfi Coast became part of the frame.

Editorial Portraits in Ravello

Portraits are an important part of my approach to wedding photography.

I like to guide couples in front of the camera, suggesting movement, gestures and direction without turning the experience into a sequence of rigid poses. The intention is to create photographs that feel refined and contemporary while keeping the relationship between the two people completely natural.

At Villa Eva, the architecture, gardens and Mediterranean light provided a natural setting for this approach.

The result is a balance between editorial wedding photography and authentic imagery, where visual direction meets the spontaneity of the couple.

My approach to wedding photography comes from the meeting point between documentary storytelling and editorial aesthetics.

I observe what happens and photograph genuine emotions without interfering when a moment calls for discretion. During portraits, however, I prefer to take a more active role, guiding the couple and shaping the composition.

This balance allows the final collection to move naturally between spontaneous photographs and more sophisticated, directed imagery, without the two feeling disconnected.

I work with Italian and international couples who choose Italy for their wedding, as well as for elopements and intimate weddings. From the Amalfi Coast to Lake Como, Tuscany, Rome and Venice, every destination brings its own light, architecture and atmosphere.
